Shame

January 27, 2011
So... I think that I told you before that the Spanish school system has a way of punishing people that we don't use to much. Shame. You probaly think that I would rather have that then go to detention. The truth is that you never know what sham is like until you feel it. I have been made to feel this several times, not that I am a bad student, and have been something that the teacher holds up to shame others. Basicly they find any way to embarass you anyway they can. Here is a good example.

So today this girl her name is Carmen wouldn't stop talking. He was the art teacher, Jose, if you can call it art (learning to draw triangles the right way). The teacher was asking who knew what the secondary colors were and what made them. Carmen was just gibbering on and on and on. Well, Jose made her stand up, I thought that he would make her stay there its happened to me and to just about everyother person in the class. Then, he told her to come up to the front of the room and recite all the primary colors and what they made when you put them together. She got them all right, but what seemed like to his disapiontment she got the all right. Exept one. She called violet purple. He made her stand there in the front while he made this huge speech on how violet was NOT purple. I feel and felt real bad for the poor thing. She took it well, as it she deserved it and it was an everyday thing.
Well, there is just one of the ways they like to get on to the poor kids here. Why don't they stop? Because they were raised that way and their mothers before them. They don't know its wrong, the kids don't even know there is another way to get on to them. THey even think it is the right thing to do.
