Karate! Roller Blades! Ouch! What?

One Friday, I don't remember the exact date, we had to bring our roller blades to school for P.E. So I did. Only two people brought them. I was exited to go roller blading, but when I got to the gymnasium (I was late) I saw a fat Spanish person yelling in Japanese or Chinese (don't ask which) at the kids. When I got in my P.E. teacher me to join them. I hopped into next to my friend, María as we ran around the small building. Finally, he yelled something else and I thought that we were done but we just had to switch ways. In about another minute he made us switch ways again, (every one was copying the five karate students who were running with us). Then, we had to touch the ground, jump up clap and yell a war cry, or that's what is sounded like.

After, what felt like hours, of the same thing over and over, he finally got us into something different. Push ups, but these weren't your normal breathtaking type of push ups. These were pure pain. The karate teacher (if you could call him that) showed us how to properly put our hands in fists for punching and made us do push ups on our knuckles. I think I heard about eleven million knuckles cracking. Let me tell you, it hurt!!!! As if that weren't enough he lined us up in four lines and showed us how to punch. Disgracing someone because he wasn't strong enough for him. Having the poor guy punch him over and over. When the fat teacher said, on the boundaries of shouted, ''Is there no one strong here!!!'' One girl, wasn't from my class didn't know her, announced that her brother was. The teacher took it as a challenge and went up to ''her brother'' and made this guy punch his chest. As soon as the guy punched the teacher stepped back and rubbed his chest mumbling that he was strong.

After that he lined us all up on the border of a huge mat and made us watch as his students did some routines. Then the worst part of the whole day. He stated blandly that girls can't punch and that they would be better using their palms. Then he HAD to demonstrate. He walked around the room hitting kids in the face, with his palm. I had glasses on so he got my jaw but María got it right next to he eye, later it was purple. When he was satisfied he got everyone twice he called a boy up and made him kick him. The boy did, but made the mistake of not pulling his leg back to him and the karate master caught it and while explaining tripped the guy grabbed his arm and bent it and his leg back into what looked like an extremely uncomfortable position and sat on his head. I was standing with a perfect view of the poor kid's face and it got squashed by the fat teacher's rear. Then he just HAD to demonstrate how it felt to be kicked. Yes, he did kick us all. Right under the right side of our hips. It HURT!!! Some girls squealed several boys wobbled and almost fell over. It made it fell like you leg was falling off whenever you took a step. Later I ran into a railing in the same exact spot making it a darker purple than it already was.
After all that he asked if anyone would like to practice what they just learned on him. The fellow that he said was strong volunteered still beaming about the complement the teacher gave him on his strength. He did well when he attacked, but then the teacher must have had enough of that kid because he started fighting back!! The poor kid was punched, kicked, everything. Eventually he was knocked off the mat and he practically ran back to his seat. The teacher got mad and called him back up. When the guy refused the teacher yelled it at the top of his lungs and forced the guy to get up. He did and that teacher only made him bow, but I thought he would pass out or jump out of his skin he was so scared. When the teacher asked if any one else would like to try, there was complete silence. He asked like eight times before he finally got someone to come up. I think the teacher knew he had gone a little hard on the kid and took it easy on the new guy.

If that wasn't enough he announced that he gives classes of karate and if we wanted to come we go to the town hall etc. I am not so sure I would like to take classes with him after all the pain I had to g threw in one hour. In the end I left my roller blades at school and had to live four weeks without them!!!! Torture!!!

Wow! What a long post!!! I think that that is enough drama for one post. Don't you? Morale of this story: be careful around fat karate teachers, they hurt!
